SUMMER!! :) WOO HOO!

Ok so I got PLENTY of flack from my mom and Kerri about posting so here it is....SUMMER IS HERE! I know news flash for everyone right? haha Well we have been havin' so much fun that would be my excuse for no computer time...and also that Kenny is getting his Masters online and that takes up most of the computer time...excuses away here's a snip it of what we've been up to:

Kenny and I had our 4th anniversary on June 9. We knew that we want to have a baby around the end of the school yr. next yr which puts all 5 year anniversay celebrations on hold so what do we do....DO IT EARLY! :) hehe we have been saving and Kenny REALLY wanted to take me to California since the last time I was there I was 3...good old 1989!! So ya gotta do things big right since it had been 21 years!BTW he planned it all and it was all a SURPRISE to me! haha It all started in...

Vegas-Where I played craps! yes indeed! I was the "shooter" and won people lots of money...and I will say my faith in this world was renewed when two players paid it forward $125!!! granted I won them TONS of money... I was still SHOCKED when handed that money in chips...:)

DISNEYLAND!!!-What can I say?? those who have been there....yeah It was the best place on earth. I will admit tears of happiness leaked out a bit...I was SOOO excited! Kenny got sick...so I rode alot by myself but it didn't stop me! Hardly anyone was there and I rode EVERYTHING I wanted to at both Disneyland and Cali. Adventure...and yes I rode the teacups alone! :) but hey I like it!:) and so did all of the other 7 year olds!

Newport Beach- No one here again...it was beautiful. We boogy boarded and collected lots of great shells...I loved spendin the day on the beach!

Six Flags-....alas no one at this park either! :) in 6 hours I rode it ALL!! again and again and again! :) Kenny got motion sick but yeah....he was a trooper and watched me :) I loved this park as well! no tears but still great...Poor Lagoon...it looks like a baby park now...

Venice (Muscle) Beach- I did see one muscle-y kinda guy....hehe it was funny. It was a nice day and we had great time.

Vegas- Just a night stop...we watched Iron Man 2 in IMAX...very cool!

I couldn't help but share this...It is so fun. This was taken in January. Audrey is 2 yrs. and 5 months old in this. Grandma "Tello" (My mom...:) gave her this adorable outfit for Christmas. She really likes it until she tells me that the tights hurt her "pee pee". What can I say? I hate tights too! Hope you like it.

Hey! It's been so long! I cannot believe how fast time is going by! We are as busy as ever, but are happy and lovin' life. School is quickly coming to a close for me and I am STOKED for the SUMMER. If I ever have a free moment I am "daydreaming" (as Kenny calls it) about all the great things we are going to do this summer! :) Kenny was able to get a job at Rocky Mountain Power and it has been wonderful so far. This is such a great blessing because anyone who has ever been in Logan will know that even before the economy stuck it was hard to get a job in this college town. Now it's even worse. Most people workin in groc stores or as garbage men are people with college degrees. It's crazy. I also found out that my job is safe for next yr. which is wonderful. I love being half time. It is such a great balance for me as a teacher and as a mommy. Not too much else goin' on but I do have some fun pics. to share. Enjoy!

So it has been soo long since I updated and I'm sorry. Where did January go? I look at other blogs and see all these entries and I think holy moly! What did I do with my time?? Anyway I am sure most of you will like a shorter synopsis anyway!

Thanksgiving: was at our house in Logan. Kenny's mother, father, sister and her kids came down. It was really nice. We divided and conquered the dinner and nothing caught on fire. So overall you could say successful. The day after shopping was AWESOME cus I had a gift card and I got 100 dollars in Kohls cash in return (thx to my gift card and mom in law) This then purchased Christmas presents for the family! Saving us from debt and destruction! :)

Christmas: Prior to Christmas Kennygraduated!! HOORAH!! Congrats to Kenny for making it through his last (and may I say AWFUL) semester! He worked so hard and I am very proud of him! anyone who has gone through that last one, its a killer mainly becuase you are so close to being done, your motivation level is negative 2! It snowed like crazy that weekend and we are lucky our families made it home safely. Thanks for the support and love! We have snow pics from that week and NO JOKE...our snowman is still standing to this day nearly 2 months later! (and Sunday we got about a half a foot in our yard making our snowman a hunchback and prolonging his life) Christmas was with my family this yr. and it was beyond wonderful to have everyone home and together. My sisters and their families stayed at a hotel so we could go swimming and all have more space. My grandma is in GR now so we all got to see her and be with her. It was so nice!! I cant describe it! and it was even better to know that someday we will all be together forever...(sorry for the cheese but I really am happy about that!) All the grandkids LOVED Christmas and especially playing with (not so much sharing...) all their new treasures!

New Years: was spent with great friends and meeting new people. We even (ofcourse) met ppl with ties to Green River AND Rock Springs. What are the odds? We had a really nice time and even had Audrey and all the little ones up...I bet we beat you all out by having our 2 year old up till 2...and Im sure u are all thinking us irresponsible...maybe...but she survived and goes to bed at a regular time now so all is well and she had a great time (unbelievably not one bit cranky!)

School: School started back too soon and was SUPER busy right from the get go with SEP's (parent teacher conf.) ILP's (low lang. learners) and TIPS trainings! (new teacher oreintation!) Can't get enough of those acronyms huh?? haha I have have meetings every week not counting church callings etc. Kenny is busy doing a fabulous job with Audrey and the house while looking continuously for a job and starting his Masters throught Univ. of Phoenix.

Well enough for now, hopefully I wll do a better job at this and just in case...Happy Valentine's Day, and Presidents Day!!! (you know gotta cover the bases while I can! haha)

Horses, Hair and Halloween

I hope you all have enjoyed celebrating Halloween and the Harvest. We have been up to alot of fun things around here lately. Here are some of the things we have been up to:

**American West Heritage Center- 10/24 This is a working farm from the 1820's. They do ALL sorts of things here throughout the year. The day we went we got to pet all the animals, ride a little red train, carve pumpkins, gord throwing, giant corn maze, pony rides and much more! This was Audrey's first time on a horse and she loved it! We in fact went twice. The second time she was on it, her horse was pooping and thats ALL she could talk about! She loved it so much, she was really sad to get off so we told her to tell her horse "see ya later" in hopes that we would see him again. We had 2 of Kenny's nephews with us as well and it was a riot, we had so much fun. It was a bit cold but it keeps you moving faster! We carved 3 pumpkins this year, a ghost, a bat and BOO!

**HAIR- 10/25 We gave Audrey her first official hair cut last Sunday. I was pretty amazed at how well it turned out because of all her moving around. That is what I was most afraid of. She cant even sit and watch a movie so I didnt know HOW I was going to get her to sit still. Luckily it only took about 4 or 5 snips and we were through.I LOVE how it looks and it's just as curly or even more so than before. To be honest that is why I waited so long to cut her hair. I was afraid all of her pretty curls would be gone. Daddy even likes the hair cut so that means it really is a success! In the pic Audrey is watching the video of her getting her first hair cut.

**Halloween: 10/29 We went to a really fun Halloween Party at our friends Danny and Julie's house out in Tremonton last night. We had so much fun I didn't even realize that when we got in the car it was after 11 PM! So after the ride home we got our 2 yr old to bed at midnight. Yes I felt guilty but it's only once a year right??? We had great food, played lots of games and visited till we couldn't say anymore. (And you know that's ALOT for me :) The pics are of Audrey and the kids playing the donut came where you cant use your hands. She did the best and then after the couples had a competition who could eat theirs the fastest. Ofcourse Kenny and I won with my big mouth. I think he only had one bite and we killed the competition! (sorry Danny and Julie!) We played Wii and enjoyed meeting new people. I was dressed as a square dancer, Kenny a GREEN RIVER basketball player (Kenny is from Rock Springs, Green River's RIVAL so it was a BIG DEAL) and Audrey was Minnie Mouse. The dress I wore was actually custom made for my 97 yr old grandmother when she was younger. I loved being able to wear it and think of her and how much fun she and my grandpa had wearing it. They would go to huge dances and competitions and my mom says they were really pretty good.

**Today we are just sleeping in and resting and I dont even think we will leave the house...that's what happens when you get old and party to hard. Car's Hurt

Yesterday while driving this is the experience I had....(forgive the dialog it was just easier this way)

Me: " uhhhh! go the speed limit!" (at the car in front of me going 30 in a 50!!!)
Audrey says, "What's da matter mom?"
Me: this silly car in front of me wont drive the speed limit!
Audrey: WHY? (ofcourse, right...that's every 2 yr olds favorite word)
Me: GOOD question Audrey! I dont know why! Why aren't they driving the speed limit??!!

About 30 second elapse and Audrey says

Audrey: GOT it!
Me: Got what? .....You've got the answer?
Audrey: uh huh....Car Hurt.

So that is the answer, ladies and gentlemen. The answer to why people drive slow is that their car is hurt.

Audreys 2nd Birthday!

Okay so I know this is really bad, but Audrey turned the big 2 over a month ago and I still haven't done anything about it. So here it is:
Audreys 2nd Birthday!
We had 3 small parties for Audrey to accomodate family and friends. The first at the Hunter family reunion, the 2nd at Willow Park, and the 3rd at our clubhouse where we live. All of them were really nice and we had a great time. Audrey just loves to sing Happy Birthday to herself and as you see from the video below, she sings it all the time :) She was soo happy for her birthday and when she opened her birthday cards, she pointed out every letter on the cards. (she does that when we read too....we like read SHORT books!:) She really loves her letters and when we sees them in public she says things like "mom! it's a little w!!" It's really fun.
We got lots of great presents and things we desperately needed! (clothes) which was good and she also got a car.

**I get a car that I have to pay for at age 20...she gets one at age 2 free of charge! Must be nice! haha So I included a video of her driving her new Barbie Beetle! Now, everyone on the block wants to drive it! It's instant popularity! haha
One of the best things I did for her birthday was make a book through Snapfish for Audrey. It was from birth to two. It has been really fun for her to see herself as a baby- and really it was more of a gift to Mommy and Daddy...but still awesome! :)

P.S. I have been reading alot of mommy blogs about their 2 year olds...yes it is the age! Atleast that is what I just keep telling myself!! :) but you know what? I teach 4th graders and it's not much better! haha so hooray for motherhood! :)

A Late Fourth!

We had a fun filled Fourth of July Weekend with parades, BBQ's and family. Three of these pics were at the parade. Audrey was so enthralled! I dont think she has EVER sat for a whole hour without fussing. The parade really was that long, with tons of horses, candy and fun. She really loved it. The one random pic in here is one taken at our house. Grandma Leona always brings her fun things and this time it was the glasses. She loves them and she loves to go outside in her hat and glasses. Atleast she won't get sunburned! :)

Vegas

So this last week we were in Vegas helping my sweet sister in law move up to RS, Wyoming. Her hubby is deployed in Afghanistan for the next year and is movin to be closer to family and friends. I'm so glad that she decided to move up and be close. I do NOT know how she handled being a full time teacher with 3 boys (7,3, 6 months) all by herself! Let's just say she is simply amazing.

We headed down Friday and worked and worked until Monday night and then stayed at a hotel and headed out first thing Tues. AM. Thankfully we all got home safe and we came back to Logan and everyone else headed up to RS. And wouldn't ya know it, 12 people from Kenny's parents ward show up at 9:00 PM to unload the U-Haul. It took them 25 minutes!
So here's the equation...we spend approx. 10 hours on the road to get there, spend 3 days packing, loading and cleaning the house, and then about 12 hours on the way back (we had 4 kids with us) and they are all done unloading in 25 minutes!!!! Crazy! Im so grateful that everyone was there to help them.

And for all those on my facebook, you already know this but...115 degrees does not look good on me! I didn't even know I could sweat in places that did!

p.s. No pics cus No ONE wants to see us THAT sweaty!

Summer Fun!

I'm sure as many of you feel the way that I do...that summer is going WAY TOO fast!!! I am already feeling pressure to get in all the things that I wanted to do on my "summer list". Anyway here are some of the things we have been up too. (Besides all of the daily stuff that keeps you busy...you know the cleaning, bills, errands, etc etc) Here is the FUN Stuff!

Bike Rides, Books, Aquarium, Vacation in Wheatland (outdoor pool with cousins), Vacation to Grandma Janell's house with cousins, and more! I'll try and add a slideshow for all the pool pics.

Crazy Hair Contest

So, Here's the deal it has taken Audrey such a long time to get her hair and it's so curly and cute and I dont want to cut it. So it has never been cut and when she naps it just goes crazy! Even when she didn't have any! Here is the evidence that Audrey could definitely win a crazy hair contest!

We had a Wonderful Easter this year. We were able to go home to Wyoming and see both families. We did Easter on Saturday with my family and then we got to go to Braydens blessing on Easter Sunday. There are so many pics. Oh and btw we ALL participated in the Easter Egg Hunt. That's my favorite part and dying 6 dozen eggs... oh yes we did! :) A dozen for each person and then some! :) Enjoy I LOVE EASTER!!!! :)

So last week we went to the doctor for Audreys 18 Month appt. She is doing just great, which is always good to hear! and she is in the 7th percentile for weight and 30 percentile for height! It just makes me laugh cus no matter what we do we cant fatten her up but thats ok cus we love her just the way she is.. so here are some proud Mommy pics!

So for Kennys birthday this year (he's big 26 btw) we went to the Jazz game, and the tix we had were in lower bowl and pretty good, but Kenny talked with some people and they talked with their people and got us down in the 6th Row! They were playing the Houston Rockets, it was a great game and even better that they won! :) We had an AWESOME time and while we were there sat behind Larry H Millers family and Dieter F. Utchdorf. (spelling) Pres. Utchdorf's family was so cute! He had his little grandson with him and they were all dressed up and looked so gentleman-ly. Anyway we got some great pics and had a wonderful time! Christmas and Snow Day

We had a wonderful Christmas in which we got to lots of time with both families. Kenny and I were able to start off the holiday with a quick little trip to the Canyons to ski just the two of us with was awesome. These pics were of Audrey in my parents front yard in Green River. She loves snow SOOO much she runs around the house saying "sNO" "sNO!" I can hardly hear the "s" sound so it sounds like she is just being rebellious which is funny too! :)

Long Past Due...

So its been a crazy time with Holidays, Graduation, Christmas, Passings and much much more...but a new semester for Kenny and new job for me has greatly changed our lives and we will start anew this new year! Pictures are promised! and updates are to come! :) I am happy to see how greatly you all have been blessed and am truly grateful for all we have been given. So don't give up on me yet...I am now officially done with school and have TIME! Miracles do happen I know! :)

Halloween

So Im pretty sure we celebrated Halloween this year to the ultimate...2 halloween parties, trick or treating at the mall, family pics and halloween pics. and ofcourse too many goodies! Here are just some pics of party number two where we met tons of new people in our ward and made many new friends. It was really great to meet such wonderful people! :) Im really excited to be in a great new ward and new neighborhood (and ofcourse the new house it alright too!

Pumpkin Carving at our house gets pretty exciting as we all try to outdo each other. When I say each other I guess I mean just Kenny and I. We even have a special kit that we use to "perfect" the art which is called pumpkin carving! I get so excited about it that we usually carve too early (which I thought we waited long enough this year but alas it was still too early...) and they have started to shrivel a little bit. Anyway I hope you all have a very HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Life thoughts

So Kenny's grandfather has been in the hospital this whole last week and they haven't been able to tell if his neck is broken or not. At first (Monday) they were for sure, it was vertebrae C6 (if that helps anyone!) and then Kenny's dad gave him a health blessing. Then a PA told them that he was 99% sure it wasnt broken. Then the nuerologist said it was broken. (REALLY confusing I KNOW) So then Finally today we were told that there is no break but that some of his ligaments are stretched. Can I just say even after all of the confusion my gratitude for the power of the priesthood and those worthy men who hold it. Thanks :)

My first blog...what do I say...Well, We are happy, healthy and although amid many trials still kickin'! I just finished my first student teaching block in 2nd grade at Nibley Elementary school and I LOVED my lil' class so much! They all wanted to take sad pictures with me because I was leaving. Let me tell ya, just about broke my heart.

Kenny is doing full time school as well, and besides physiology is loving it. He finishs next year and I graduate in December which Im totally stoked about. Im really excited to have my own class.

Audrey is doing great and growing like a weed. I cant believe she turned 14 months today. She has 10 teeth and two more on the way. The Molars have been hard for all of us and it makes me sad to see her so sad, but I guess after these last two we should hopefully be done for a while. There is always hope! :)
